Standard aluminum and hardware that looks fine on an inland build will start showing corrosion within two or three years near the ocean. We use marine-grade fasteners and properly coated aluminum framing on every coastal NSB installation. Not because we like spending more on materials -- but because it is the right thing to do for a customer's home.
